Imagine setting off on a journey through the heart of Tanzania, where every day brings a new landscape, a new adventure, and a deeper connection to nature. NYKA Africa’s Classic Northern Circuit Safari takes you from the peaceful town of Arusha into the open plains of the Serengeti, through Maasai lands, and into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders. Along the way, you’ll meet local communities, witness wildlife roaming freely across vast grasslands, and stay in intimate lodges surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our driver and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, relax at your lodge surrounded by tropical gardens or take a short walk through town. Enjoy dinner and a restful night as you prepare for the exciting days ahead.
After breakfast, begin your scenic journey to the remote and beautiful Lake Natron. The road takes you through breathtaking landscapes and Maasai villages, where life moves to the rhythm of nature. Spend two days exploring the area — walk to waterfalls, visit the flamingo shores, and meet Maasai families to learn about their traditions. As night falls, relax by the fire and watch the sky fill with stars over Oldoinyo Lengai, the sacred mountain of the Maasai.
Travel into the legendary Serengeti through the quiet northern gate, where few travelers venture. Spend three unforgettable days on safari, tracking elephants, lions, and giraffes across vast plains and acacia dotted landscapes. If you visit during migration season, you might witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the savanna, one of nature’s greatest spectacles. Evenings are spent in cozy camps surrounded by the sounds of the wild and glowing sunsets.
After breakfast, drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on Earth. Enjoy a full-day game drive in search of the Big Five and many other animals roaming freely across the grasslands. Have a picnic lunch inside the crater, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, before heading to your lodge on the crater rim for a quiet evening.
On your final day, stop in the colorful village of Mto wa Mbu for a cultural experience and local lunch. Walk through banana farms, taste traditional dishes, and meet artisans creating crafts by hand. It’s a joyful way to end your adventure, connecting with the people who make Tanzania so special. Return to Arusha filled with beautiful memories of this unforgettable journey.
